The history of Poland during the communist era - workshop

We invite you to a workshop dedicated to the history of Poland during the communist era. We’ll talk not only about major political events, but above all about everyday life – shopping, work, school, housing, travel, culture, and how people navigated life under the realities of communist Poland.

Together, we’ll also look at how the experiences of that period have shaped the Poland we know today.

The workshop will also include a hands-on activity – we’ll prepare a classic Polish dessert that was popular during the communist era and discover a little more about the everyday culture of that time through food.

You don’t need to know anything about Polish history – the workshop is open to people from different countries and with different perspectives. Come along, discover a part of Poland’s history, try a taste of the past, and let’s talk about what from that past is still present in our lives today.
